I made Elizabeth for New York Comic Con 2021, but made several updates to the costume in 2023. This was actually my second time making this costume. I made it once before in 2017, but my corsetry skills were poor and the costume was not very accurate. I had the opportunity to wear Elizabeth on the Cosplay Runway show for New York Fashion Week in 2022.

I self-drafted the pattern for the corset to match the video game model. Corsets traditionally have 5 or more panels per side, but the game model and my pattern only have 4 panels per side. It was difficult to accomplish both a scoop neck and low back as seen in the game, but I used a historical 4-panel Symington corset pattern from the museum collections of Leicestershire County Council. I used airbrushing to add shading similar to the game and hand-made the necklace from scratch using various trims, notions, and a glass cabochon.
The pattern for the bolero was also self-drafted and features a darted sleeve for elbow movement. The skirt and bolero were made with a cotton-poly blend and I upcycled some white denim for the corset. The rest of the trims were sourced locally at the NYC Garment District.
